It's always been said, where you hear the most noise and see the biggest crowd in a casino, it's got to be the Craps Table. This high action, fast paced game has one of the biggest followings of all casino games and rightfully so. There's lots of money to be won here and the action is always on. To a newcomer, Craps can be intimidating and the thought of learning the rules for all those different types of bets can be a bit overwhelming. If you let those ideas keep you away from this game, you're losing out on quite an experience. If you break down the rules of the game, you'll see it's actually quite simple and after you've had a chance to play a few times you'll see for yourself how easy it is.
This is probably the fastest and most thrilling casino game out there. When online casinos first came on the scene, the software provided was less than exciting, now you can get the same vibe that you would playing this game in a land casino when playing online. The old adage, you can here a craps game before you can see one, has all but faded away when playing online these days. True, you cant here the game before you are at the table online, but graphics for online casinos have improved ten-fold. The game moves quick, the graphics and sounds are fun and exciting, too. This slightly complex casino game looks more intimidating than it is. The table is big and there are bets everywhere. Relax, this game is not that difficult once you learn about your dice and the chances you have of rolling certain combos. In the beginning, stick to the simple bets and you will be fine. Each table can accommodate anywhere from 10 to a dozen players. Again, the proper way to acclimate yourself to this casino game is to get familiar with dice and the combinations that they can produce when being tossed. More so, you will want to be able to calculate the odds of any number being rolled before a 7.
When you first arrive at the table you wan to play craps at, you will wait until a new round of play begins. This is when a new shooter takes over. This craps player will cause all the betting action from all other players. Keep in mind, when playing this game at online casinos, you will be offered practice play for free in order to familiarize yourself with the table layout and bets. It is highly recommended that new players do so because different casinos will offer different software. For the most part, craps will look the same at different Internet casinos, but there will be a couple of variances, so be smart and practice the exact game before you start wagering your hard-earned cash. In order to be the shooter you must place a line-bet on either the pass or dont pass line. All other bettors at this table will be putting wagers on the layout. Shooters typically wager on the pass line. You will see most other craps players placing the same bets, in favor of the shooter. Not many casino players enjoy betting against the shooter.
The first toss of the dice is known as the come-out roll. There are several ways to win and lose on the come-out roll. If the come-out roll is a 7 or 11 (natural), the pass line wins and the dont pass line losses. The round is over. Now, if the come-out roll is a 2, 3, or 12 (craps), the pass line then loses and so the dont pass line would be the winner or would tie. There is a tie for the dont pass bet only when the come-out roll is a 12 (rarely when the roll is t a 2) the dont pass line will bar the roll that is a tie. The round is over. So, if the come-out roll is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9or 10, that number will be the shooters point. This is marked on the table for all to see with a signal, puck, or obvious marker. The shooter will then keep rolling in this case, with the outcome of the pass line and the dont pass line bets yet to be figured out. The shooter will continue to shoot until he-she either rolls the point number or shoots a 7. If the point is made first, pass line wagers win and the dont pass bets lose. The exact opposite takes place if a 7 is rolled before the point is hit. A new round will always take place with the same shooter until he/she rolls a 7.. Only when the shooter rolls a 7 are the dice given to the next player. After gaining confidence with the dice, knowing your odds of certain combos, you will be confident in the different bets. Remember to stick to the easy wagers in the beginning. Dont get caught-up trying to play any betting system when playing this casino game. Always take full advantage of practice availability at online casinos and you wil l be on your way to having real fun shooting craps.
The table is divided into betting areas or fields. Each one corresponds to the numbers rolled on the dice. In order to begin play the 'shooter' rolls the 'come out' roll. If the roll of the dice is a 7 or 11, the shooter and any player who bet on those numbers win. If the roll of the dice shows a 2,3, or 12 it's called Craps and the shooter and any players that bet on that roll lose. The shooter tries to establish the 'Point' and does this with the roll of a 4,5,6,8,9 or 10 and at that point continues to roll until the same number comes up again, winning the bet. If a 7 is rolled it's a loss.
There are many types of bets other than the ones we've outlined and the more you play, the more you'll become accustomed to them. What we'd like to do now is to give you some Craps Tips that will allow you to improve your game, or if you're new, these tips will get you off to a good start in playing Online Craps.
Have a working understanding of the game and the rules. Choose the type of bet that works best for you and stick with that for the duration of the game, instead of bouncing around with off the wall bets. To get more out of the game or to keep playing longer choose bets such as the pass or don't pass bets, or the come or don't come bets. If it's your strategy to hit a big win and pocket as much as you can, you should play the higher odds bets.
When you're on a winning streak, raise your bets a little. When you're not doing so well, it's time to lower your bets until your luck changes. This will extend your playing time and allow you to stretch your bankroll. Don't quit immediately following a big win, it's poor ethics.
These are general tips, you'll develop your own strategies and techniques as you become more familiar with the game.
